Your trip begins in historic Quito. During this trip, you will
also visit Otavalo, a city characterized for its culture that it
has maintained over centuries. You will experience the locals
as they have dressed for centuries and you will also have the
opportunity to purchase unforgettable handicrafts such as
beautifully woven ponchos. The town of Otavalo is located near
the San Pablo Lagoon which is in itself beautiful.
You will also visit the enchanted Galapagos Islands with it’s
abundance of wildlife before descending into Amazonia following
some of the route of the Spanish conquistadors who historically
entered the region in search of gold and cinnamon. Your
Amazonia trip includes a visit to the Kichwa community
ecotourism project known as Sani Lodge. Here, you will explore
the surrounding forest and observe an abundance of the flora and

Saturday:
We take breakfast, then we will move south of Quito
to Otavalo to visiting
la Plaza de los Ponchos(handycrafts market) then will
visit the village Cotacachi known for its craftsmanship in
quality leather, the city of Cotacachi lies between Otavalo and
Ibarra in Imbabura. During our tour we will have lunch and will
visit crater lake and Cuicocha,
in the afternoon will return to
the Hotel Ayahuma, where we will take a rest.

31 Sunday .- Breakfast at Otavalo downtown ,
then
we go visiting la Mitad del
Mundo, then continue to Quito in the course of the trip will
visit the San Pablo Lake: The largest lake in the province. The
natives will go fishing early in the morning in their canoes
with straw, and also they take a bath and wash their clothes
during the day, we´ll stay for few minutes on the shores of Lake San Pablo and continue to
Quito. We will check in the San Francisco Hotel. We arrive in
Quito at night time

Monday: San Cristobal Island: Airport - León Dormido – Lobos
Island
San Cristobal airport:
Your guide will welcome you at the airport and take you to the
boat in order to start your 4-day cruise.
Puerto Baquerizo Moreno.- This is the capital of the
archipelago. The airport has the same name.
Leon Dormido.-
This is really a gigantic rock formed by a volcanic eruption. It
is divided by a narrow canal that small boats can pass through.
This rock is home for a great number of sea birds. It is also a
good spot for diving.
February.- 02 Tuesday -
Española: Punta Suarez - Gardner Bay
Punta Suarez.-
This point of land has amazing colonies of sea birds in
Galápagos. Sea lions and mockingbirds will welcome us. Gardner Bay.- This bay is a 45-minute boat ride from
Punta Suarez. It has a white sand beach and there is a small
colony of sea lions. The possibilities for swimming or scuba
diving are excellent here.

Devil’s Crown – Post Office Bay - Punta Cormorant
Devil’s Crown.-
This site is an excellent place for scuba diving. The beautiful
coral formations offer a wonderful underwater panorama. You can
also easily see schools of multi-colored fish, sharks and marine
turtles at a depth of only 6 meters.
Post Office Bay.-
Here you will see the famous barrel that served as the mailbox
for eighteenth century whaling ships. Now tourists leave their
unstamped letters or postcards for the next passengers to mail.
Punta Cormorant.-
This site has a beach of green olivine crystal sand. The island
has a lagoon filled with flamingos. Walking on towards the other
side, there is a fine white sand beach where marine turtles nest
from December to May. Wet landing.

Charles Darwin Station – Highlands (Santa
Cruz Island)
Santa Cruz.-
This is the most heavily populated island in the archipelago.
Its port, Puerto Ayora, is an obligatory stop for all ships, so
there are many hotels, restaurants, souvenir shops,
discotheques, bars, internet coffee shops and other stores where
tourists can spend their time shopping or getting to know other
people. The most important site on this island is the Charles
Darwin Scientific Station. An excellent way to begin learning
about the islands and their origin and formation is to visit the
Station. You can also see how the Galapagos turtles are raised
and meet Jorge, the famous solitary turtle. The Scientific
Station has its own beach that receives many visitors on
weekends
Highlands.- In the highland a number of the endemic Santa Cruz
subspecies of Giant Tortoise, Geochelone elephantopus porteri,
wander free. The highlands are also home to Scalesia, Miconia,
and Pampa vegetation zones. Birds in this area include several
species of finch, the vermillion flycatcher, Galápagos rail,
Galapagos Dove, and paint-billed cake. We also may have the
opportunity to visit the lava tubes.

Isabela Island: Giant Tortoises
Breeding Center & Flamingos Lagoon
Breakfast. Free morning for shopping. After lunch we will take a
fast speed boat to Isabela, the largest island of the
Archipelago composed of 6 volcanoes, 5 of which are active. A
speed boat takes us to the southern part of the Archipelago.
This trip takes about 2½ hours.
Our guide will pick you up from the port to the hotel, this day
we will do an easy walk towards the Giant Tortoise Breeding
Centre where you will be able to observe tortoises of all ages
and sizes. You will also learn about the reproduction and
rearing of giant tortoises and see all the work that is being
carried out to help recover the wild populations of these
species. There is also a visitor's centre and a gift shop where
local handmade products are sold. Finally we will walk to see
the Flamingos Lagoon. Return to the hotel and lodging,

Sierra Negra Volcano – Campo Duro
Farm – Tintoreras Islet
Today will be very special because our guide will meet you at
the hotel and take you to one of the most beautiful volcanoes in
the world. The crater of this volcano called “Sierra Negra” is
approximately 7 kilometers in diameter. This day we will have a
trekking tour (4 hours) in order to enjoy the wonderful scenery
unique in the world. Lunch in a local farm called Campo Duro
where you can also watch Isabela Giant Tortoises during the
visit. Back to Puerto Villamil town, we will visit the nice
Tintoreras Islet. Return to the hotel and lodging. B/LUNCH

Sunday Isabela Island -
Baltra – Quito/ Guayaquil
Early departure to take the fast launch to Puerto Ayora. We will
immediately take a bus across Santa Cruz Island to the Baltra
Airport where we will check in for our flights to the Continent.

. Breakfast at Hotel San Francisco de Quito, our private
transportation will collect you from the hotel 9.30 am, for the
trip from Quito to Papallacta, approximately travel
time: 2 hours, the hot springs of
Papallacta are medicinal
waters that have healing power, after lunch we will travel to
San Rafael waterfall ,the drop of this waterfall is
approximately 160 meters high and 14 meters wide, on our return
we will look also the Black River cascade, we will continue our
journey with destination to Baeza, resting place of
the Spanish conquistadors of gold and cinnamon, the path that
led to the discovery of the great Amazon River, here we will
stay in cabins Kopal dinner and rest for the next day.

time approximately : 5 hours, this road will give us take the
opportunity to observe the forest, its landscape, rivers,
people, the route of the conquering Incas long before the
Spanish conquered the Amazon of Ecuador, legends of shamans
passed by Galeras Sumaco National Park, the province of Loreto
area Quichua native cultures, on our arrival we will stay in
Coca Hotel San Fermin, dinner and rest for the next day

In the morning breakfast, this is
recommendable to get mosquito repellent , sunscreen, toilet kit,
batteries, flashlights and either recharge your camera
batteries, or something you have forgotten in the trip to the
jungle. We began this day with our trip to
Sani Lodge, we ´ll move to the port
on Napo river where we will board the motorized canoe, travel
time 3 to 4 hours. Departure from Coca on 02 February to 06 february, 2010 (Tour
5 days / 4 nights) activities were conducted in Sani Lodge.
